SHEFFIELD, England – (BUSINESS WIRE) – sureCore Limited and Intrinsic Ltd today announced a collaboration agreement to bring high performance embedded RRAM to market.
Intrinsic and sureCore are working together to provide commercial storage solutions using the patented storage architectures of sureCore and the innovative RRAM cell from Intrinsic. Using a combination of Intrinsic’s CMOS-compatible technology and sureCore’s high-performance, low-power storage architectures will accelerate the development process and deployment of this new embedded non-volatile memory. In addition, leveraging sureCore’s extensive experience in memory compiler design, statistical verification, and characterization, this novel RRAM technology will easily suit SoC developers looking for next-generation, high-speed, low-power, non-volatile embedded memory made available.

RRAM technology does not require any changes to the FEOL processing and can be easily integrated into a standard BEOL metal stack, which greatly simplifies use in the foundry. Key markets for this technology include the entire microcontroller (MCU), IoT, and Edge AI market, which are currently being hampered by the existing performance constraints related to Flash.
