Wellness Wednesday: Men’s Mental Health with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

June is the month of men’s health and on the “Four” we looked for ways in which men can be more proactive in their health.

We often think about our physical health, but that includes psychological well-being.

According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, men were almost four times more likely to die of suicide than women in 2019. Depression affects 6 million men in the United States each year, according to Mental Health America.

Behavioral health for men is an important issue. Men also have a resistance to access to drugs, particularly for behavioral health.
