San Diego County Health Officials Report 74 New COVID Cases as Vaccinations Hit 80.8% of Goal

The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reports ego 74 new coronavirus cases on Saturday when the vaccinations hit 85.8% of the target.

Of the 8,010 test results received the previous day, 0.9% were positive and the 14-day moving average of positive tests remained at 0.8%.

No new deaths were reported on Saturday and the total since the pandemic started remained at 3,771.

So far, 1,803,557 residents of the county have been fully vaccinated, which is 85.8% of the county’s target. Another 338,961 residents have received their first dose.

Nationwide, 149,125,164 people were fully vaccinated by Saturday, about half of the US population, according to Reuters.
