Joplin Health Department food inspections (June 21) | Local News

The Joplin Globe publishes summaries of routine and follow-up inspections performed by the Joplin Health Department. Companies being inspected either pass or fail due to violations identified during the inspection. These violations fall into two categories:

• Violations of priority are more serious and concern improper handling, storage and preparation of food. The globe lists the number and summary of each violation.

• Core injuries are less severe and affect equipment, maintenance, and general cleanliness. The Globe only publishes the number.

A failed check can lead to a variety of fixes based on the violations found. Full copies of each report are available from the Joplin Health Department.
