Delaware County Operating 15 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics This Week

This week, the Delaware County COVID-19 Task Force is offering free COVID-19 vaccines in fourteen locations, including three major Delaware County government hospitals at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon, the Keystone First Wellness Center in Chester, and Springfield Hospital.

All vaccinations are free and do not require identification or health insurance.

The Moderna vaccine will be available to people aged 18 and over at the Keystone First Wellness Center on 1929 W. 9th Street in Chester on Thursday, June 10, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Moderna will also be available at the Delaware County Wellness Center at 125 Chester Avenue in Yeadon on Tuesday, June 8, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The wellness center will not be open on Sunday as originally planned.

The Pfizer vaccine will be on sale at the Delaware County Wellness Center on Thursday June 10th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will also be available at Springfield Hospital at 190 W. Sproul Road in Springfield from Monday June 7th , offered Friday, June 11th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pfizer is available to individuals 12 years and older. Parents or guardians must agree and plan to be present during the vaccination of 12-15 year olds receiving Pfizer vaccine from the Delaware County government.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be on sale Thursday, June 10, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Great Hall at 69th Street Terminal. Walk-ins are welcome. Please note that the Delaware County Community College, which has been offering Johnson & Johnson vaccinations for two months, will be permanently closed from June 5th.

In addition to these large-scale vaccination sites, each of which can vaccinate hundreds of people every day, the Delaware County’s COVID-19 Task Force is home to a variety of smaller, community-owned vaccination clinics vaccination program as part of the ongoing COVID-19 COVID pop-up. The clinics are held in small pedestrian and parking-friendly locations in Bethel, Concord, Chadds Ford, Chester Heights, Edgmont, Media, Middletown Township, Newtown Township and Thornbury. Johnson & Johnson in a single dose and Moderna in two doses are offered.

Delaware County residents who are home chained or unable to safely leave their residence also have the option of obtaining the vaccine at home for their own safety through the county’s COVID-19 vaccination program.
