coin toss, the world’s leading cryptocurrency ATM operator, today announced a new marketing campaign to showcase the ease of investing in Bitcoin. In CoinFlip’s new ad, titled “So Flippin ‘Easy,” actor and longtime crypto investor Neil Patrick Harris introduces the company’s ATM and cash-to-bitcoin model.
Harris, famous for his roles as ‘Doogie Howser MD’ and the sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ shared how the speaking role and partnership with CoinFlip are linked to his own discovery of Bitcoin and hope others will get into are able to take over the cryptocurrency as well.
Harris told me in an interview, “I remember when I first heard about Bitcoin; Like most people, I didn’t quite get it, but at the time the price of Bitcoin was so low that I thought I could try without risking too much. ”
Harris, selected by CoinFlip for his history as a freshman who spent a lot of time learning the space, continued, “My investment has now grown tremendously and has multiplied in value, even large corporations and traditional investors are all jumping up the train. My goal is to let everyone know how easy and accessible it is to invest in cryptocurrency and participate in the future of finance. ”Grabbing with high profile investors like Paul Tudor Jones and companies like MicroStrategy Headlines, it’s easy to see how Harris could drive adoption for the average investor too.
With the Harris spokesperson marketing campaign entitled “So Flippin ‘Easy,” CoinFlip as a company hopes to further deepen its mission to make cryptocurrencies more accessible by educating the public about the ease of participation with the cash available . The company said in a press release that it believes it can provide an easy way to invest for those who are not tech savvy. And according to their CEO, Bitcoin ATMs meet the banking secrecy requirements of banks and are registered with FinCEN as a money service company (MSB) and in certain states as a money transmitter if required.
Ben Weiss, CoinFlip’s new CEO as of April 2021, told Forbes Crypto that he hopes its business will scale to 5,000 ATMs by the end of the year and explained its business model of offering 24-7 customer service and purchasing Bitcoin in less than 60 seconds makes his company a challenger for cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase and Gemini. Weiss, who ran CoinFlip’s day-to-day operations before taking on the role of CEO, predicts that there will be bitcoin ATMs at every single gas station, on every single street corner, and you will eventually see as many bitcoin ATMs as you can normal ATMs. ”
Commenting on the strategic partnership with Neil Patrick Harris, Weiss commented, “We partnered with Neil Patrick Harris, who is known, approachable and lower the bar for entry into the room,” said Weiss.
“Cryptocurrency is the future of the way we shop, invest, and do business, but it can also be incredibly technical and intimidating. I prefer my transactions to be simple and to the point, ”said Neil Patrick Harris. “That’s why I partnered with CoinFlip – their ATMs make it possible for anyone to turn their money into a significant investment opportunity with a great return.”
Harris is certainly taking a risk as he can now step into the world of “crypto twitter” where celebrity influencers like Elon Musk have frustrated many in the room, to say the least. However, only time will tell if he’ll end up being positive for cryptocurrency as he starts to discuss it more in the mainstream media.
